3.Select whether you would like to live in the dormitory, "AP House"

All students who wish to live in the dormitory can do so for one year after enrollment. Dormitory applications can only be made at the time of APU application. For more information about AP House,please check the link below.

Dormitory Fee Reduction System
This is a system that subsidizes half of the AP House dormitory fees to provide financial support after enrollment(maximum of 60 students).Applications must be made within a separate period from the application period.

※1 This is a deposit to live in the dormitory. If there are any outstanding dormitory fees or if any repairs to the room are caused by the resident's negligence, the deposit will be used to settle the matter, and the remaining amount will be refunded after you move out.
※2 Dormitory fees:(Breakdown)For students enrolling in April should pay April 2026 fee of 52,000 yen and May 2026 fee of 52,000 yen (AP House 5 base). For students enrolling in September should pay September 2026 half a month's fee of 26,000 yen, October 2026 fee of 52,000 yen, November 2026 half a month's fee of 26,000 yen(AP House 5 base).For students enrolling in AP House 1 or 2, the difference will be deducted from the dormitory fees paid after moving in.
4.Domestic Students Academic Excellence Scholarship
Scholarship for full tuition waiver for 4 years
This scholarship is for students who have achieved excellent results in the entrance examinations, and first year applicants must choose whether they wish to apply or not when the time of application to APU.


5.Choose a "Language basis" of admission
No need to worry if you are not comfortable with your English ability at the time of application. Please make your choice depending on your English proficiency.
What is "Language Basis" for admission
One of the unique features of APU's education is the "Japanese English Dual Language Education" program, in which classes are offered in both Japanese and English. Prospective students are required to select either the "Japanese basis" or the "English basis" as their base language of admission at the time of application.

Japanese-basis
In the first year, students will take mainly common education courses and major subjects which are taught in Japanese. At the same time, students take the English language course and aim to take major subjects offered in English, gradually increasing the number of courses offered in English as their English proficiency improves. For Japanese language basis domestic students, the graduation requirement is 20 credits or more required in common education courses or major subjects in English. (Number of credits required for graduation: 124)

English-basis
Students will take common education courses and major subjects in English from their 1st year. This program is suitable for students who have received education in English at the equivalent of junior or senior high school, or who have studied abroad in an English speaking country for an extended period of time. The English language course is not required, but some English courses may be taken as electives.
