COLLEGE OF SUSTAINABILITY AND TOURISM

Local power becomes the power to change the world

We are now facing major global issues such as resource depletion, environmental pollution, and climate change. The College of Sustainability and Tourism offers students the opportunity to study both "Sustainability Studies," which studies the creation of a sustainable society in which future generations can live in safety, and "Tourism," which has an economic and cultural impact in today's world of rapid human mobility.
A sustainable society can be realized by discovering the nature, history, and culture of the region you live in or the region you love, and by developing and protecting those resources. In this College, students can strengthen their skills in research and data analysis, and acquire perspectives and abilities to achieve the SDGs goals by tackling social issues in various countries and regions together with other fellow students from around the world. Our faculty members from 12 countries and regions have extensive experiences working for the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), the Japanese government, and other organizations. They are specialists in the fields of Environment, Tourism, International Cooperation, Urban Development, and ICT.
